Requests for Assistance

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) conducts a variety of operational missions primarily in the areas of Emergency Services (Search And Rescue (SAR), Disaster Relief (DR)), Counterdrug (CD), and Homeland Security (HLS).  Most of this is done in CAP’s role as the United States Air Force Auxiliary as Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) under Title 10, but CAP also provides assistance to State and Local authorities in many cases before there is a defined Federal interest under Title 36 as well.  In order to conduct these missions, there are many programs and personnel that provide Operations Support.

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA

The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) partnership with Wreaths Across America™ (WAA) is expanding in strength and scope each year. Like WAA, we take pride in honoring those who have served our country. CAP members help lead the way by selling wreath sponsorships and coordinating wreath laying ceremonies at locations throughout the United States and across the world. We provide honor and color guards for the ceremonies as well as thousands of volunteers to help lay wreaths. CAP is WAA’s largest sponsor, and with your help, the program and partnership will continue to grow and thrive.
